The first single from Roxi Drive's 2nd full length album, ELECTRIC HEART.
This track was influenced by the story of one of my favorite movies, Starman. Directed by John Carpenter, 1984. The lyrics tell of how the leading characters, Jenny (Karen Allen) and Starman (Jeff Bridges) have to say goodbye to each other as he cant stay with her any more. He wont survive on this Earth and has to go back to his home planet. The police and FBI are closing in on the couple as they say their goodbye. It is a beautiful film with a stunning soundtrack that inspired me to write these lyrics.
lyrics
Breath in to life
Emerald dreams
You came so far
Lost in this world
You don't belong
here any more
The skies have opened just for you
The lights are waiting
Will I see you once again?
The sirens reaching us so close
You need to leave me now
And breathe life once again
The skies have opened just for
The lights are waiting
Will I see you once again?
The sirens reaching us so close
You need to leave me now
And breathe life once again
Breathe you, Breathe me
Fading slowly through the night
Breathe you, breath me
Ill wait again electrocide
Breathe you, breathe me
We walk in dreams as stars collide
Breathe you, breathe me
Ill wait again electrocide
Time doesn't wait
The face is frozen in my mind
Fate can be cruel
And life can be unkind
The skies have opened just for you
The lights are waiting
Will I see you once again?
The sirens reaching us so close
You need to leave me now
And breathe life once again
Breathe you, Breathe me
Fading slowly through the night
Breathe you, breath me
Ill wait again electrocide
Breathe you, breathe me
We walk in dreams as stars collide
Breathe you, breathe me
Ill wait again electrocide
Breathe you, Breathe me
Fading slowly through the night
Breathe you, breath me
Ill wait again electrocide
Breathe you, breathe me
We walk in dreams as stars collide
Breathe you, breathe me
Ill wait again electrocide
